Notice on Academic Integrity
Jurnal Keluarga Berencana, a respected academic entity, upholds the principle of academic integrity in its scholarly publications. Plagiarism, as a violation of academic ethics, occurs when an author copies or adopts ideas, information, or words from another source without proper attribution. While some instances may occur unintentionally, plagiarism remains a serious offense and is unacceptable in the realm of international scholarly publishing.
Within the context of Jurnal Keluarga Berencana, the acceptable threshold for plagiarism is set at 25%. This means that the percentage of content taken from other sources, whether it be ideas, information, or wording, should not exceed 25% of the total content of a piece of writing. In this regard, whenever authors use specific information such as names, dates, places, statistical figures, or other detailed information from a particular source, proper citation is mandatory. Similarly, when authors adopt ideas from other authors, citation is required even if those ideas are further developed. This also applies to the direct use of wording from other sources; in such cases, both citation and quotation marks are necessary.
In citing sources, authors must adhere to internationally recognized guidelines such as APA, MLA, or IEEE, depending on the relevant field of study. Whenever authors use more than four consecutive words identical to a source they have read, quotation marks must be used to denote the use of another author's original words.
Jurnal Keluarga Berencana reaffirms its serious commitment to academic integrity and reserves the right to review or withdraw acceptance of a paper if violations of the established standards of plagiarism are found.
