Writing Systematics

  1. Manuscript

A. The manuscript is a scientific writing, which can be in the form of research results, developments, or studies.

B. The manuscript is written in Indonesian or English with material substance covering the fields of Population, Family Planning, Reproductive Health, and Family Welfare.

C. The manuscript is made up of 8-12 pages using Microsoft Word with Cambria font size 11 and 1 spacing.

D. The manuscript is made in 2 columns, with layout rules as follows:

  1. Left margin: 2.5 cm
  2. Right margin: 2.5 cm
  3. Top margin: 2.5 cm
  4. Bottom margin: 2.5 cm

ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION

contains background, problem formulation, objectives, theory/conceptual framework, hypothesis [optional], written in paragraph form, not in sub-chapters

RESEARCH METHOD

time and place, sampling method [optional], data collection materials/methods, data analysis method

  1. Article Writing Rules

a. Title, name, and address

  1. TITLE IN CAMBRIA 14 BOLD, CAPITALIZED, CENTERED, MAXIMUM 20 WORDS [ENGLISH]

  2. The author's name is typed in bold under the title, written in full without mentioning titles. If there are more than one author, use a comma between the first, second, and subsequent author names.

  3. Author affiliations (institution name and address) are written in full below the author's name.

  4. Author's email is written after the affiliation, if there are more than one author use a comma between the first, second, and subsequent author's emails.

b. Abstract and keywords

  1. Abstract is written in a single paragraph in italic, spaced one space. The abstract is written in 2 languages, Indonesian and English. The font type is Times New Roman 11 pt. The number of words in the abstract is between 150-200 words in English.
  2. Keywords consist of 3–5 words/phrases

c. Tables

  1. Table titles are displayed at the top of the table, left-aligned (not centered), written using Cambria font size 10.

  2. The words 'Table' and 'number' are written in bold, while the table title is written normally.

  3. The table is displayed in the center of the page or in the writing columns. The font type and size for the contents of the table can be adjusted according to needs (Cambria size 8—11) with single spacing.

  4. The inclusion of sources or explanations is placed below the table, left-aligned, using Cambria font size 8.

d. Images, Graphs, Photos, or Diagrams

  1. Captions for images, graphs, photos, or diagrams are written below, using Cambria font size 10, placed in the center.

  2. The words 'Image, Graph, Photo, or Diagram' and the 'number' are written in bold, while the contents of the caption are written normally.

  3. Use Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, and so on) for numbering images, graphs, photos, or diagrams.

  4. Images, graphs, photos, or diagrams are displayed in the center of the page or in the writing columns.

  5. The inclusion of sources or explanations is placed below the illustration, left-aligned, using Times New Roman font size 8.

  6. Images, graphs, photos, or diagrams in .jpg file format

e. Citation and Reference List

  1. References follow the APA (American Psychological Association) Style 7th Edition.

  2. The year of publication is written after the author's name.

  3. References in the text refer to items in the reference list by writing the author's last name followed by the year of publication written in parentheses.

  4. The reference list is ordered by the author's last name. If a reference does not have an author's name, then the reference title is used to sort the reference.

  5. Preferably, recent references are prioritized, with an update not exceeding 10 years.

  6. Reference titles are written in italics.

  7. Writing the Reference List must use reference management applications such as Mendeley, EndNote, or others.
